Spouse/Companion Program

Palm Desert, California, is a wonderful destination and ELFA has planned some terrific activities for spouses. We encourage you to bring your spouse this year.

A spouse or companion attending any portion of the convention or social function must be registered and pay the appropriate spouse/companion fee. If he or she is employed in finance, the full member attendee registration fee is due.

For your enjoyment during the ELFA Annual Convention, we are offering different packages for spouse/companion attendees. Choose the package that fits into your plans.

On the registration form, select the package or packages that best fit your plans, and include the appropriate fees with your convention registration.

Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, Nature Walk and Lunch

Monday, October 24 • 10:00 am – 3:00 pm

Palm Springs Aerial Tramway

The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway—the world's largest rotating tram car—travels over two-and-one-half miles along the breathtaking cliffs of Chino Canyon, transporting riders to the pristine wilderness of the Mt. San Jacinto State Park. During your approximately 10-minute journey, tram cars rotate slowly, offering picturesque and spectacular vistas of the valley floor below. Once you reach the Mountain Station—elevation 8,516 feet—enjoy two restaurants, observation decks, a natural history museum, two documentary theaters, a gift shop and over 50 miles of hiking trails.

Once atop the peak of Mt. San Jacinto, guests will find themselves in a 13,000-acre Wilderness State Park forest surrounded by a magnificent pine forest and views stretching miles to the Salton Sea. Attendees will have the option to walk an energetic one-mile mountain trail with a guide or explore at their own leisure.

This event includes a private luncheon in the Mountain Station. Tour not recommended for guests with a fear of heights or enclosed spaces.


San Andreas Fault Line Jeep Eco-Tour and Lunch

Tuesday, October 25 • 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Jeep Eco-Tour

This educational eco-tour focuses on the history and legends of the late 19th century mining era and the settlers who came to seek their fortune in this desert wilderness.

Guests will wander, explore and take plenty of photos in the recreated Indian Village, while a knowledgeable guide will explain what life was really like for the early desert settlers. This tour also includes exploration of steep walled canyons that have been described as some of the most tortured landscapes on earth, a classic desert badlands caused by the San Andreas earthquake fault.

The event will conclude with a private luncheon in a recreated Indian Village.
